Blue Meadow, an innovative band native to New York City, consists of four singer-songwriters: Densen Curwen, Devon Joseph, Dexter Lendor, and Jamal Reed. You may recognize the name Jamal Reed because of his success with the group Naturally 7. Best known for their distinct style of “vocal play,” Naturally 7′s style of R&B vocals mixed with beat boxing is carried over to Blue Meadow through Jamal’s instantly identifiable voice. Blue Meadow’s songs are relatable; the band’s latest music video, “Cloud 9,” shows the trials and tribulations of a young couple’s relationship. The band’s new album “39th and 8th” epitomizes in song the diversity of New York City. This rock and roll band defies the common idea of what rock bands should sound and look like. Born in the Bronx, NY these gentlemen experienced the best and worst of the human spirit. Blue Meadow’s new album, a musical journey meant to inspire individuality amongst chaos in the greatest city of the world, will be released on May 7th! Following the old adage “if you want something done right, do it yourself”, the boys of Blue Meadow have set out to make music that is truly their own. By mixing an array of different styles into one pot and creating their version of popular rock, their debut album “39th & 8th” proudly introduces a collection of musical styles that epitomize the unique essence, energy and special vibe that is the Big Apple. Inspired and influenced by such greats as The Beatles, Cold Play, U2, Boyz II Men, Billy Joel among others, the distinctive music of Blue Meadow will satisfy your many tastes and moods while moving your emotions to place you want them to go!
