Hello All,
Anyone know of any open mic nights coming up in the next 6 months, north west area preferably...
Or a website with a list of open mic venues and dates would be appreciated.
Cheers to all who respond....

There's a regular acoustic session every Tuesday at Barristers in Bolton
starting a 9pm and getting on past midnight.
If you come early and introduce yourself to whichever local musician is running the night, I'm sure they'll fit you in.
Quite a few do a set so 3 or 4 songs is plenty to do.
Drop me a line if you need directions or you'd liek to join us for a chat (although we don't usually get down until 11pm as we have practice sessions on Tuesdays. |

You are the very first person to provide and answer on the Brit Forum.
I think that deserves a medal! |

Really???
I've not really looked through other posts as they're quite old. I'm surprised though...most Brit musicians I know are usually friendly and helpful.
It does look like the US forum is better used. |

Hey lekhana - what do you practice? Why'd you tell me that practice was on Thursdays? You gave me directions to the morgue! I'm not at all sure that you even play music...but I hafta admit that you have a very nice beard for a girl...can you whistle through it?

Open Night Venues in the UK. http://www.thevac.co.uk/cgi-bin/venueslist.cgi
If you scroll down the list in the above link you will be surprised just how many venues are out there.
As a drummer using my Ludwig Kit! I would be happy to travel say 20 miles from Weybridge (surrey) to be part of an Open Mike event. Contact rickblake@hotmail.co.uk or through this site.
