Hi Miss-Spent Youth / Denise
I would love to come out and jam with you, but Whitby is a little too far away but thanks for the invitation. I've been talking to some bar owners in the Oakville Mississauga area to set something up, but no takers yet. I will keep you posted. |

Hi Matt F
La Luna Lounge has gone accoustic with Jame Anthony. Before that I took a whole band there once along with some other people. In effect, we hosted the jam. But because of the restaurant there was no drums until after 10 or when the restaurant is empty. While I had fun there, they were badly managed. Twice I arranged for musicians to come down only to hear that the jam was cancelled for that week. I gave up. |

Hi all
I've set up a Jam at Boston Manor in Burlington (corner of Appleby Line and Fairview St) for Sunday, March 1, 3:00 to 7:00)) pm. All invited (19+). This is a fund raiser for Plan Canada (Formerly Foster Parents Plan) to support their work in the developing world. There is a minimum $5 donation at the door, more welcome and donations of $25 or more will receive a receipt from Plan Canada (mailed). Drums, amps, P.A. and piano will be supplied. If you are a musician we will get you on stage. See www.rocknbluesjam.com for more information. Wizened Old Men will be hosting the jam. While this is primarily a rock and roll band, with the addition of Bryon Bender on Harp it becomes a steaming blues band. |

Hi Denise
The Rock 'n Blues Jam for Kids is Sunday, March 1, 3:00 to 7:00. It may go later if there are people waiting to get on stage.
Drums, P.A., amps, and keyboard are provided. Just bring your guitar.
All money goes to Plan Canada to help with 3rd world development. There is a minimum $5 donation at the door. Receipts will be issued for donation of $25 or more.
It is at Boston Manor 4460 Fairview St at Appleby Line. From Toronto take the QEW (or 407 if you have money) and exit at Appleby Line. Go south. Fairview is just past the railway underpass and Boston Manor is in the plaza on the S.W. corner.
See www.rocknbluesjam.com for details. |
